I’m super excited! I have been very busy preparing a new Joyfuelled-adventure dedicated to activating our JOY through lots of 15-minute bursts of creative expressive heART projects! Drumroll….
I’m offering this in gift economy which means participants can gift back to me, if and as they choose. The bottom line is JOY!
In determining our projects I was very cognizant to use as few materials as possible, to UPCYCLE or MAKE something from something else, and to provide multiple options so hopefully you won’t need to purchase very many things. (If you live in the Raleigh/Wake Forest, North Carolina area and want to borrow some of my things, you are welcome to my stuff… my studio is YOUR studio!)
I will send our participants the full list soon, but here are some things you can start gathering to put in your heART box to get ready for the adventure! These are our to-be- upcycled materials.
♥ craft foam, flat packing foam
♥ assorted plastic bottles tops, lids (plastic and/or metal), and wine corks (Plastic or cork)
♥ make up foam sponges (used is fine)
♥ flat cardboard (like cereal, crackers or food boxes)
♥ empty toilet paper rolls or paper towel rolls (curious? : )
♥ TWO or more flat erasers (look in drawers before buying, it’s ok if they have been slightly used)
♥ an old hard-covered book to be turned into a heART journal
♥ assorted scraps of paper, wrapping paper, colorful napkins (serviettes), sheet music, programs, words/images ripped from magazines/newspaper
♥ paper with something printed on one side
♥ 2 or 3 Compact Discs you no longer want
♥ an old white cotton t-shirt, OR plain white tea towel OR piece of cotton or linen
Register by clicking image above or here.
(Ooooooweeeeeee! I like seeing all that BOLD text…. and I LOVE using what we have instead of buying NEW!)
After reading this list I hope you are curious about WHAT we will be making!!!! I’m going to remain a little secretive as I think some of the greatest JOY might come from surprises, but here are a few little hints 🙂
♥ mini journals ♥ prayer flags ♥ stamps ♥ cards ♥ heART journal ♥ stencils ♥ & MORE ♥
This online ePlayshop is inspired by my real-life playshops and I am going to do my best to make this as personal and enJOYable as if we were sharing the same paint tray!
I hope you will join me for this adventure. Please email or leave me a message on the Joyline with any questions and I’ll get back with you! And register now for our August 23rd start date!
dedicated to JOY, (especially yours) xoxo

Have a Joyfuelled weekend dear love. I look forward to reading your stories. xoxo
Dear Heart,
That’s me…. a limping, wounded, bubble blowing, want-to-be-servant for joy–YOUR joy. If any of my posts or musings plop into your awareness, I hope it comes as a gift for your sacred beautiful deserving heart.
The reason? I think of you… ALL THE TIME. I often lie awake daydreaming about new ways I might nudge and remind you of your birthright for joy. With all of my heart I hope my writing will uplift, inspire, hold and nurture you upon a quest for a more joy in our broken and miraculous world. It hurts so much right now, to see all the brokenness.
I need to be brave… braver actually. I revere words and stories so much that sometimes I withhold them.
The time has come for me to trust my heart and share some personal stories. The sufferings I’ve endured are not exclusive or particularly unusual, but my pain demands my service to yours through words, art, beauty and the occasional radio Kindcast. So here I am, showing up, doing the work I feel so called to do. I know it’s been a little while since our last Joyfuel Kindcast, and I’m working on that.
I–like you–have burned in the fires of loss, illness and sadness. Now tarnished with an ashen patina, sometimes my words can sparkle. If you ever see the shine, really–truly deeply–that light is yours as much as it might be mine, and light bounces are good aren’t they? especially for our Joy.
Thank you for being here, for saying “like” and “subscribe”, for providing me with a possible entry point to your heart. I promise tremendous care and love.
